Details
Johnson Kengalu was born in 1942 on Ontong Java and educated on Ugi at Anglican mission schools at St. Barnabas' School at Alangaula (q.v.) (1958-1960) and All Hallows' School at Pawa (q.v.) (1961-1963). He joined the government's Marine Division as an engineer and was elected to represent Malaita Outer Islands in the Legislative Assembly (q.v.) in 1976. He married Ann M. Kengalu, a teacher who published Murder on the Mataniko Bridge (1986) and Embargo: The Jeanette Diana Affair (1988). (SND 9 July 1976; Kengalu 1986, 1988)
