Details
Michael Bauro from Makira was taken to Norfolk Island by Bishop Patteson (q.v.) to be educated at the Melanesian Mission School and returned to be the first teacher at the Wango School on Makira. Active in the 1870s and 1880s, he died in early January 1890. (Montgomery 1904 [1896], ch. 16)
