Details
Dodo Creek Agricultural Station outside of Honiara opened in April 1974. It replaced the original Ilu Farm (q.v.) as a government agricultural research and education centre. It was equipped with five laboratories, an optical instruments room, a library and clerical facilities. Research was carried out in entomology, cocoa and pasture agronomy, and microbiology and plant nutrition. The station was destroyed during the civil unrest in the late 1990s. (NS 26 Apr. 1974)
