Biographical entry: Murisigaia, Sardius ( - 1969)

Sardius Murisifaia from Santa Ana was a member of the SSEC and served with the American forces on Guadalcanal during the Second World War. He was appointed Government Headman of Santa Ana in 1958. He later was Santa Ana's member in the Makira Council, and served as Council President for two years. He was also a member of the BSIP Advisory Council (q.v.). He died on 28 March 1969 and was buried at Santa Ana. (NS 31 Mar. 1969)
