C. H. Cheng, formerly a senior public servant in the Hong Kong Education Department, in 1962 took over as General Manager of Kwan How Yuan Ltd. He was a Justice of the Peace, and served as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Honiara Chamber of Commerce, as a member of the Honiara Town Council, and a member of the Education Advisory Committee.
